About the Event
Business Continuity Planning with Focus on Business Income Interruption
What’s This Session About?
Business continuity planning is key to the survival of any organization. A critical element is determining how to provide for the loss of business income during such operational interruptions. There are many ways to provide coverage, such as accounting reserves / corporate savings, and business interruption insurance which transfers this risk to a 3rd party. This is often in addition to commercial insurance coverage for fire, windstorm, floods, or cybersecurity breaches.
We will discuss the basic factors to consider when developing this aspect of the overall BCP, to ensure appropriate reserves / insurance coverage is in place. We will also discuss some examples of failures where coverage was not sufficient.
Our session leader, Pete Nassos, is a member of and represents the Metro Atlanta ISSA and the CPCU Society (insurance risk management) Groups.
Who’s It For? Enterprise Risk Managers, IT Managers & Cybersecurity Professionals who want to better understand their business enterprise perspective before developing such plans. Using a Workshop / Case Study approach, this session is oriented towards professionals with some prior knowledge / experience in this area so we can focus on building and enhancing their knowledge and processes.
